POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for driving truck and trailer to pick up and deliver aggregate to the Block and Dry Mix Plants and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

 

  • Drives trucks in a safe manner to specified locations to pick up aggregate and deliver it to the Block and Dry Mix Plants.
  • Unloads aggregate at plant in area specified by Plant Manager or Plant Superintendent.
  • Maintains good communication with shift supervisors as to changing aggregate demand.
  • Loads material from the waste pile and delivers to appropriate recycling vendor.
  • Operates the Front-End Loader to push up and maintain stock piles and to load waste.
  • Completes daily delivery log books.
  • Performs daily inspections checklists on truck and trailer as required by DOT.
  • Performs daily inspections checklists on Front-End Loader and performs greasing of pivot points on prescribed schedule.
  • Use Company, daily checklists for any other equipment operated including forklifts.
  • After checking vehicles, reports any maintenance or safety issues immediately to your supervisor.
  • Maintains work area and equipment according to company specifications for cleanliness and safety.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representative.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

  • Requires basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Two years’ experience driving a dump truck with dump truck trailer, both full and empty.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a valid Washington Class A driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Regular attendance is required

  • Sitting, listening, simple grasping with hands, pushing and pulling with right hand, and repetitive foot motion.
  • Lifting up-to 70 pounds.
  • Regular attendance is required.
