Salary Range: $ 27.00 - $ 35.00/hr., DOE

WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent, this position supports the plant in all areas of electrical, maintenance, and installation; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

  • Performs PM services, and inspections.
  • Trouble-shoot, and diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Make repairs, and replace worn or damaged parts as needed.
  • Requests parts quotes, and maintains inventory.
  • Fills out required paper work including work orders, and service check lists.
  • Verifies tire work that is performed.
  • Determines if machine must be shut down for repairs.
  • Determines if company has facilities to make required repairs.
  • Operates forklift, front-end loader, aerial equipment, drill press, welders, grinder, digital voltmeters and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with vendors, maintenance or production personnel and other related administration personnel, i.e., supervisor, purchasing staff, or plant manager.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Predictable and Regular in-person attendance is required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  • High School education or equivalent plus minimum of eight quarters of electrical apprenticeship program to tech school.
  • Requires two years of experience concurrently in welding, cutting, equipment and machinery troubleshooting, repair and installation with demonstrated competence.
  • Requires advanced mechanical skills in the following areas: electrical repairs and installation, electronics, heating and air conditioning, hydraulics, pneumatics, general construction, blueprint reading and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to operate meggers, voltage tester, special hand tools and any other equipment required to perform duties.
  • Requires some forklift experience.
  • Requires good reading and writing skills.
  • Written and oral communication skills required to communicate with peers and superiors.
  • Requires advanced math skills.
  • On-the-job training is required to perform essential duties listed above.
  • Requires the ability to problem solve.
  • Must have excellent color perception ability.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Regular attendance is required.
