Under the supervision of the Tiger Superintendent, the Machine Operator supports the California Production department and is accountable and operates various production machines and verifies the machines are running properly and safely.  This position is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


  • Operates a forklift including double or Quad forklift.
  • Reads the screen settings on the wrapper, including troubleshooting and adjusting, and understands tagging and label processes.
  • Operates the screen settings on the splitter and make necessary adjustments.
  • Changes out splitter blades and assists in other basic to intermediate mechanical repairs.
  • Operates the settings on the cuber and adjusts/troubleshoots cubing processes.
  • Operates the settings on product formers and pushers and adjusts/troubleshoots these processes.
  • Fills out forms and follows up on recommendations on the machine operator check list.
  • Communicates any problems or issues to supervisor, vendors, and equipment manufacturers.
  • Understands key product qualities including proper colors, dimensions, counts, and configurations.
  • Performs and/or assists in maintenance related items.
  • Reports and fills out maintenance work order requests with supervisor.
  • Keeps work area clean.
  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.


QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


  • Requires a high school education or the equivalent.
  • On-the-job training experience is required to be able to perform duties.
  • Machine Operation experience preferred.
  • Mechanical or Maintenance background preferred.  Additional skills in welding and higher-level mechanical abilities are not essential but also preferred and recognized.
  • Requires basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Regular attendance is required.
