WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE: 

Under the supervision of the mine superintendent, this position supports the Dayton Mine in all  areas of operation. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of mining equipment including Excavators, Loaders, Dozers and Graders, Water Trucks, Haul Truck and other pieces of equipment as well as the Aggregate Crushing Plant, and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs daily pre-operational inspections.
• Checks and maintains equipment in safe operation condition.
• Safely operates vehicles and equipment.
• Performs Crusher plant maintenance and repairs.
• Performs Crusher plant housekeeping to company standards.
• Load material on over-the-road trucks and fill out weight tickets.
• Performs and documents daily preoperational inspections on equipment and work areas
• Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards
• Must be able to safely operate heavy equipment.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude in general and adequate knowledge of heavy equipment.
• Must have good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Must have the ability to supervise own work and be self-motivated
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.
