SALARY RANGE $32.00 - $34.00 /HR. DOE 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing maintenance support on stationary and mobile equipment. This position is also responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: General 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 

    • Reads and evaluates work order/plan of action and plans projects accordingly.
    • Performs and documents daily pre-operational inspections on equipment and work areas.
    • Performs safety inspections on equipment and makes needed adjustments and or repairs.
    • May have to drive Semi-truck upon completing maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
    • Preforms scheduled equipment services on trucks, forklifts, etc.
    • Fills out required paperwork including inspections and work orders, etc.
    • Performs tire repair work and tire maintenance as needed.
    • Performs electrical system troubleshooting and repairs or replaces components as needed.
    • Determines whether to repair or replace worn or dysfunctional parts as needed.
    • Advanced mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems troubleshooting practices required
    • Utilizing electronic devices to troubleshoot equipment issues as required.
    • Troubleshoots and makes modifications to various equipment as needed.
    • Determines if a machine must be shut down for repairs.
    • Component/Parts requisition and purchasing may be required.
    • Rigging and Lifting practices are required as needed.
    • Operates shop equipment; drill press, welders, grinder, digital voltmeters, battery charger, cutting equipment, pressure washer, and any other equipment required to perform duties.
    • Major component recondition is required (Engines, Transmissions, Differentials, Hydraulics).
    • Advanced repair welding practices with various metals required.
    • Fabricating projects and working with various materials and tools is required.
    • Heavy Equipment operation, including Forklift operation is required.
    • Traveling to satellite locations (Dayton & Sparks) and performing maintenance work is required. 
    • Roadside emergency repairs may be required as needed. 
    • After hours emergency repair work may be required as needed. 
    • Regularly meets with supervisor.
    • Maintains work area clean and clutter free per company standards.
    • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
    • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
    • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

    • High school education or equivalent.
    • Valid Class A (CDL) Required.
    • Must be able to utilize personally owned tools on the job is required.
    • Advanced welding and machinery maintenance experience required.
    • Advanced knowledge of auto electrical system, brake system (air and hydraulic), diesel systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required.
    • Basic reading and writing skills required.
    • Basic mathematics is required.
    • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional manner in dealing with employees and the public.
    • Operation of mobile electronic equipment may be required. 
    • Ability to operate forklift, drill press, welders, grinders, digital voltmeters and any other equipment required to perform duties.
    • Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

    • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen; stand, walk, and sit.

    • Lifting up-to 75 pounds.

    • Shop and plant environments with moderate to loud noise, moving and vibrating machinery, dusty, dirty, fumes and/or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, hot and cold (non-weather) conditions.

    • Outdoor weather conditions.
    • Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
